CSPA files notice of intent to sue two bay area sanitary land fills

January 19, 2009 -- CSPA has filed a notice of intent to sue the Richmond Sanitary Service ("RSS") and at the West Contra Costa Sanitary Landfill ("WCL").

CSPA has found that these two facilities are operating two messy sites with very high suspended solids. Further, the sites fail to monitor for iron, lead, zinc, copper and aluminum as required.  In addition to the actual pollution these sites generate, they are also guilty of major procedural violations.
