DWR wants the water back that was used to protect Delta fisheries, further depleting the Delta's dwindling supply

December 10, 2008 -- The Department of Water Resources has put in an application to increase water diversions from the Delta at Clifton Court Forebay at the rate of 1,000  more acre feet during July, August and September for the years of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. If Ross Perot was still around he would probably describe it as a "giant sucking sound."

CSPA will oppose and file appropriate comments on the request.
