Dico Bay residents to oppose Two Gates Project

December 14, 2009 -- The folks in Discovery Bay have organized to fight the Two Gates Project. This is a cause every recreational boater and fisherman in the Delta should get behind. Here is the link to their website. This project is being pushed by the Metropolitan Water District in Los Angeles and the Westlands Water District in the Central Valley.
Two gates is a "extract more water out of the Delta plan" There is no science behind it and it is being called a 5 year experiment. The gates will block two navigable water ways which violates the public trust doctrine, essentially landlock Discovery Bay residents with boats and is just a bad idea. www.nodeltagates.com
