Salmon monitoring projects abandoned by USFWS due to bond freeze
August 13, 2009 -- The USFWS is abandoning numerous fishery monitoring projects as of 1 October 2009. The projects have been affected by the California State Bond Funding freeze instituted in December 2008. The eliminated projects include many monitoring efforts on Clear and Battle Creeks, as well as the carcass survey for winter Chinook salmon.
