Send a letter to Huffman and Pavley on the Delta Bill Package, it takes less than a minute!

Ready now! Go here!                                        Even more effective - Send a Fax

August 26,  2009 -- CSPA has set up a Citizen Speak page where you can send a form letter to the two chairs of the Joint Policy Committee on the Delta Bill Package.

Assemblyman Jared Huffman chairs the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee and Senator Fran Pavley chairs the Senate Natural Resources Committee. The joint committees will receive testimony again tomorrow before turning the process over to the joint Conference Committee next week.

The duties of the Conference Committee are not exactly clear and are certain to lack transparency. We do know that Huffman and Pavley, as chairs of the joint Policy Committee will have a seat.

The Citizen Speak page allows the sending of a form letter along with personal comments. The sender is required to enter their name, address and e-mail address.

While Senator Fran Pavley publicly posts her e-mail address in the Senate Directory, Assemblyman Huffman does not. However, e--mail sent to Huffman does generate an automated response. It's unknown whether his staff actually views the incoming mail. Huffman does maintain a form fill page but the program automatically rejects mail from people outside Huffman's district's zip codes.

Another way to reach both Pavley and Huffman quickly is via fax. If inclined, you can cut and paste a prewritten lette into a word processing document, modify it as you wish, print and send it to Huffman's or Pavley's office via FAX.
